Unusual Visitor

Goro and Niko are looking out of
window very intently.

What is it? Deer? Big bird?
I don't see anything.

But guessing from the size of Niko's tail...

It must be something very unusual.

What, Goro?

Oh, my gosh! It's a snake!

This snake looks kind of aggressive.

And making Niko's hair stand on end.

 Niko is out now.

Snake left, too.

Goro wanted to play with it a little longer.

If Goro was an outdoor kitty,
maybe he could make friends with it.

(Or eat it.)

And Niko...

I'm glad he is an indoor kitty now.

  1. Whoa, a snake! Niko, look at your bottle-brush tail! Wow!

We had an eastern milksnake in our enclosed garden last year...the mom didn't know what kind it was until after the fact, when she had a chance to Google. That was after she had to get us in the house, away from it, and get it out of our back space. LOL. THAT was an adventure!

Maybe your Mr. Snake will return -- we can only hope!

  2. We're thankful we really don't have snakes here. Bugs yes. Snakes no. We think the Mommy would run away screaming like a little girl if she ever saw one.

  3. OMC! A snake! Niko, that bushy tail will scare that snake away for SURE. Goro, we don't know if snakes taste good because our mean Mommy always takes them away from us, something about rattlesnakes being poisonous, blah, blah, blah.

  4. OMC, a SNAKE on your WINDOW?!?!?! Whoa! Niko, your tail is very impressive.

  5. Niko! That is THE most bottle brush tail I have ever SEEN! You are so impressive!!!

Mr Snake is an old smarty pants talking that way to you!

  6. That sure was quite the tail puffer, and it really is a good thing you were inside!!!

  7. ok, so our mom is weird and she says that is so cool! And Niko, your tail! We wouldn't have thought a snake could scale walls and windows!

    Pip, Smidgen, Minnie, and Hollie

  8. OMC !!!! Snake can come right to your window !!!! Let's do double hiss to him..It's dangerous !!!

  9. We have NEVER seen a snake on a window like that, and we hope we never do. We'd have to get a new mom if that happened - she'd die of fright! Niko, your poofy tail was VERY fierce - nicely done!

  10. Wow, SNAKE☆☆☆
Haha, enjoyed heving a visiter? I don't think it is yummy、Goro.
Oh, I hate to see one. I once had seen a little one outside of my house. Scary, and even worse we have centipedes visits sometime(^^;)

  11. Goro and Niko,
Be glad you were on the inside of that glass! How scary is that! You really had us wondering at the beginning, but we would never have guessed it was going to be a snake!

  12. Yikes! A snake! We think we'd stay away from that thing.

  13. Wow, a snake!!! That is WAY more excitement than we get here.

  14. What an exciting life you two have. The only snake I've seen are the ones on TV. har har har *evil laughs*

  15. Oh my gosh, Niko's tail is like a bottle brush!!! Sometimes Ben's goes like that because he is a big scaredy-cat.

  16. Wow! Niko's tail is sooooo impressive! Even floofier than mine gets and mine gets really floofy!

A snake? I'm so envious! I have never seen a snake, let alone as up close and personal as you got. He was rather cheeky, though, wasn't he?

  17. We would be bristling out our tail too if we saw something like that on our window...nervy snake he was. Hugs and nose kisses

  18. ewwwwwwwwwwwwwww I am TERRIFIED of snakes! I am sooooo glad you were in the house! You don't want to eat a snake! ewwwwwwwwww!

  19. Snakes are not good but we kitties here do kill them. We are very careful not to get bitten. But that was fun playing with that silly snake. All of you have a really fun day.

  20. So glad Goro san stayed inside though the snakes kill don't became friend with them?
Poor Niko san it must be scared of you I guess his blood pressure will up high too?
    Enjoy with your mom.

  21. There was a snake outside your window - run.
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx

  22. Wow, that snake was pretty brave, coming on your window like that! We are glad it was on the OUTSIDE of the window, though. :)

Niko, that tail of yours sure is impressive!

  23. Wow, my boys! That was pretty exciting seeing a snake that up close! Good tail action Niko! Have a great week boys!

  24. Oh my stars ~ that is a little creepy having that snake crawl across the window! Good thing you kitties were nice and safe in the house. And that was sure some fluffy tail action!

  25. Dearest Tamago,

Wow, what an encounter and such a small chance to get it all on camera too! Would this be the Eastern Garter Snake? One of the most common snakes out of 41 native species here in Georgia and they are active during the day.
Ill tempered, so Niko must have known that. His bushy tail said it all.

Tomorrow I will have a post about a snake too; one of our felines did bring it into the stair case area...

    Lots of love,

  26. Wow that's scary to have a snake so close. I'm glad it didn't bite you!

    Nubbin wiggles,

  27. OH my kitty, I was not expecting a snake! They look like they'd make nice tails though. :)
    -Luna kitty

  28. How strange that the snake had climbed up the side of your house! Looked rather large too!
