Niko's Thought

Mom: "Niko! We are home!"

Actually Goro, Dad, and I were at the Vet.

Earlier this week, I came back home and found right
side of Goro's face was swollen. There was a dead bee
on a floor, so I guess he was playing with it and got
stung. (We don't know how the bee got in the house.)

Anyway, we rushed to the Vet and Goro got two shots.
By the end of next day, swelling was gone.

(I was just trying to take photos as medical record!)

It was a scary experience but we are glad
Goro has recovered and is doing good now :-)

  4. Oh poor Goro!! That happened to me once...I tried to swat a bee and he got me back on my paw and it swelled up some. I've learned to leave the bees alone!! I hope the swelling goes down soon. And don't listen to Niko...he was just having some fun while you were gone.

  6. Whoa! I had no idea bees could do that. Maybe next time one comes in, I should let my human play with it instead.

  7. Aw, poor Goro. My Human took a bee that I had cornered away from me. I was mad, but maybe it was a good thing.

Niko, Sorry Dood. That's too bad that you didn't get the new improved model. But maybe you can re-train Goro?

  11. Wow, Goro...! Stay away from bees now, okay? We've heard of a couple of other kitties having really bad reactions to bee stings too.

Niko, you'll have to make do with your current brother. And we hope for a very long time to come!

  21. Oh my, thank goodness Goro is now okay and that the swelling went down. Purrs to him from us. And even though Niko is tremendously funny and we enjoyed his telling of the story, we're glad there is no new Goro! Happy World Cat Day to Clooney's Evil Twins (well they aren't very evil, they're pretty sweet...)

  25. I came back again to make sure Goro san is completely al better, and I laughed again. This was so funny (not poor Goro san's terrible sting) it was his mama that is so funny with te pictures and the captions. That one in the restaurant with what Niko san was thinking and the one returning the "defective" Goro san had me laughing out loud.
xoxoxox I shook the Admiral off my lap with laughing. (I did)

  26. Dearest Tamago,

Oh, I've seen such a bee sting on ours; it is a pitiful sight. Guess that's the only way they will learn. But still when we're outside and they're swatting after a bee or wasp I tell them: NO - they bite you. Hope they understand as I want to prevent such misery on their relatively tiny bodies. You had such a great story with perfect images again; LOVE this!
Enjoy your Sunday and all the best for your two cat-babies.

    Love to you,

    Mariette

  27. Hi! This is my first visit to see you. What a great and funny blog post. I'll be coming back. I'm actually getting a new sisfur today that I can boss around and mold into my image. Glad Goro is over his bee sting.

  28. So sorry, bee got to you, Goro, hon! Julie has to be careful of those..! But, I'm glad you're all better and Niko had nothing to worry about, but I'm glad he pictured Goro in all those places 'cause it was really cute to see!

    Take care,
    Tom

  30. Whoa, that's an impressive bump, Goro! One time when my mom was a kid, her cat went outside and got stung by a wasp on his paw! His paw was HUGE! It looked like he had a boxing glove on. We think the cheek bump is way cooler.
