Homemade Toy

One of (many) failed toys.

It was completely unrecognized by Goro.

Niko did not look happy with it.

Sometimes we have to be creative to please our kids.
Here is simple but sophisticated (?) homemade toy.

Let's see if Goro likes it...

He does :-)

So we played.

Played...

And played.

The paper bag also became Goro's favorite hiding spot.

Niko, is something wrong?

...Maybe Niko is not happy with this paper bag.

But don't worry, he found his favorite one.

In closing, here is Goro exposing his
tummy in front of both bags.

Now I'm happy :-)

  1. Ooooh, I love the peek-y windows in the bag! I am very happy you cut the handles on the bag for safety. One of the cats-who-came-before got his head stuck in one of those handles and he got skerred and ran and ran and ran before my Mommeh could catch him to remove the bag from his neck.

  2. Sometimes the best toys are made out of the simplest things. :)
Mommy laughed at the first picture of the "toy" coz it reminded her of, err, the female anatomy bit...Hahahaha.

  3. ha ha ha! Every Cat knows that paper and cardboard toys are the BEST! Mommy modifies boxes for us with cut-out swatports, and we enlarge 'em with our teeth if they need it.
Goro, Mommy LOVES your white tummy heart.

Lots of love and hugs from Japan, xoxo Miyako*

  13. You mean your human actually spent money for that first, totally lame toy?! Ugh. Looks like something my human would get. The bag with the windows cut out of it is SO much better!

  14. Excellent idea to make windows in the bag. We tries this!

It is so true about toys that look like the kits might like them, and they just don't. I have a closet full of them.

  15. Yup ~ sometimes those home-made toys are best. And so much cheaper! But I am thinking you two kitties can have fun no matter what you do. ;)

  17. What a good idea for the bag. Our person is going to try that for us. We also think the homemade toys are the very best. Mom cut holes in a box for us once and we loved it. Great pictures. They all made Mom smile. Have a great day.

  22. That bag looks like SO MUCH FUN I think I am going to command my Human to make me one. Ordinarily, I think bags might eat me, but I think the peeky windows might make it safe for me. Also, I think that toy with the little balls looks totally whappable. I would play with that toy!

My cats love boxes the best. I don't even need to cut windows- they chew the holes on their own!

  31. Do you know what? My Human *DID* make me one and it *was* kinda fun but then Tuesday came and my world came crashing down around me. So, thanks for coming over to comfort me. I guess I am almost all better now, but I am still plotting revenge. I might need some help if you're available.
