Happy Brushing

Niko loves this blue soft brush.

Do you wanna brushing, Niko?

Relax ~

Melting Niko :-)

He especially loves to have his head brushed.

And loves to play with brush while being brushed.

What a happy face :-)

Because I can see such happy face...

I love brushing time, too!

Good Brother

For Niko, I think Goro is...

Groomer who loves to clean against Niko's will.

Big eater who is willing to "share" food.

*When it comes to chicken, Niko "shares" as well.

Playmate who tends to play too hard.

And another thing, which I tell you with an episode.

One winter...Niko was not feeling well
for a couple of days.

He stayed inside a cat tree cave.

Niko is not feeling well, Goro.
Please let him rest, okay?

Then I found Goro in front of the cat tree.

He was keeping Niko company,
while checking on him from time to time.

I was moved.

So Goro is a good brother who stays by
Niko's side, looking after him.

I know Goro always cherishes Niko inside his heart.

Deep, deep inside :-)

Nightly Battle

* Happy Hour = Snack time before going to bed

I know, Niko. But after I take shower, OK?

Niko waits outside the shower room.
(Makes me take VERY quick shower.)

OK, I'm ready. Let's go.

Niko loves chicken so much...

He always takes over Goro's dish :-)

After Happy Hour, we play.

It's getting late.
Niko, let's go to bed...

No, no. There is no 2nd Happy Hour.

Then Niko waits on the stairs.

Sometimes Goro joins.

Now, I'm very aware of
Goro's growing tummy flab.

And Niko's meaty peach.

So, NO more snack...

(Uh-oh, leg rubbing always gets me.)

O...okay, just a tiny bit.

***

"Snack, more or no more"
This is the battle I have to fight every night. It's
hard to win when the opponents are so cute.

Children's Day

Dinner time will be soon, Goro.

No, no.

Okay, just a little.

I hope it didn't ruin your appetite.

Your Daddy went deep-sea fishing
and caught tuna today.

It's May 5th - Children's Day in Japan. This is the day to
celebrate happiness of children. Carp-shaped windsocks
are traditionally flown to wish children a good future.

(Picture of a park in my hometown)

We don't have carp windsocks but cooked tuna :-)

We sure wish a happiness for our fur children!
