Cat Shelf

After living in one place for a while,
we think about home improvement.

Of course, improving for Goro & Niko.

This kitty walk was built over computer desk long time ago

With limited floor space, shelves sounds good idea.

So here we go. Installing shelves.

We attached fabric drawer liner on shelves
to prevent kids from sliding off.

After installation - our new cat shelves.

Goro soon began to explore.

This is my favorite part.
Tummy viewing spot :-)

Goro, do you like your new shelves?

Goro seems to enjoy them :-)

Niko, on the other hand...

I hope he will get to like them eventually.

*

Our cat shelf project is not over.
We are planning to install more later.

While back, Timmy Tomcat and his family gave us an
award. We admire their fantastic kitty walks and perches!

Thank you for thinking about us! We'd like to share this
award with lovely Katherine and her family at Retro Rover.

Have a great new week!

Spring in the Air

It's officially spring!

Our bird restaurant is getting busier.

Goro overlooking the restaurant.

Maybe thinking about dinner :-)

Niko in his grass bed.

Talking to the birds.

Spring brings unwanted flying critters, too.

We set the wasp trap for Goro & Niko's safety. (We
do accompany them while they are out on the deck.)

Inside the house.
Here are flying kitties!

I hope spring has sprung in your area, too!

Food Game

I think food hunting game is a good way
to stimulate kitties' natural instinct and curiosity.
It's both fun and rewarding.

Here, I put a piece of freeze-dried meat in a glass.

Niko fishes it out of the glass...

Good job!

Now, game with Goro.
I put this meat...

Goro, calm down.

Go, Goro. You can do it.

Finally!
(I didn't expect all the whapping!)

Good job, Goro.

Actually, yes. Look how Niko does next time.

So the other day...

Niko fishes the snack.

Out of glass.

After this unfortunate event,
Niko had to rethink his fishing method.

So Niko began to fish the snack.

And eat it without dropping out of glass.

Sorry, Goro. No more mooching.

Well, later Goro mastered fishing, too.

Even though he is not as skilled as Niko :-)

Food game is fun! Just gotta be careful
not to play too much = eat too much!

Center of Attention

Goro! Look! Here, here.

Smile, Goro. Say cheese!

No, not the villain smirk.
Show your handsome smile, Goro.

I guess Goro is not in the mood for photo shoot.

OK, then...
Let's take photos of Goro & Niko's stuffed twins.

Um, Goro. Don't drop Niko's stuffed twin.

Now that's a handsome smile!

Goro always loves being in the center of attention :-)
