Summer Deck Time

It's hot, hot, hot.
Sizzling summer is here!

Still, Niko enjoys sunbathing
out on the deck.

Thankfully, we've been having some rain, too.
Goro loves to play with rain water.

(Awning has grommets for rain to escape)

I'm getting mosquito bites constantly.
"Mosquito magnet" is my middle name.

Mosquitoes are feasting on me.
You are safe, Goro & Niko.

Of course, we can't be too careful. Gotta
protect kids from mosquito-borne disease.

Have a safe & fun summer, everyone!

  2. Hi Goro and Niko and Mom! What a lovely outdoor area you have to enjoy. I have only 1 cat that likes to play with water in the sink. The others are afraid! You both look like you are having a wonderful afternoon. Tamago: those mosquito bites are so uncomfortable. Take care. I wish you a very good week. xoxo

  3. Hi boys, thankfully you have fur to protect you from bites but poor mom! It's 100 degrees and we're loving being on the porch.

  7. We are so glad Goro and Niko get to enjoy their porch, and that the heat and mosquitoes don't bother them. :)

Sorry to hear Mom Tamago is a "Mosquito Magnet." Funny, but meowmeowmans is a magnet for them, too!

  9. Dearest Tamago,
Oh my, you a mosquito magnet and I have been a yummy chigger magnet on the 4th of July. We went for a joint luncheon (bringing each food) near the river, at a spring well. It was so beautiful outside and I did walk around the well,so did Pieter with a friend. I wore pants that were below the knee and Pieter full length summer jeans. But oh my, next day the ordeal of itching started; I looked horrible with 7 bites on my right upper leg and 4 on my left upper leg, including behind the knee. Pieter had a lot more but his never became that swollen like mine. Nasty thing and finally they are healing up after two weeks of oozing liquid and having to use lots of bandaids. Still not looking good for wearing shorts! Today I wore a safari dress that is below the knee; just perfect for covering up my scabs.
Hope you're not too much suffering from mosquito bites!
Your boys look so cute and after enlarging you artist photos (as I always do click them!) I laughed at the smile of Niko, on his back. Lovely fur balls.
Sending you hugs and a happy week ahead.

  12. Niko you are so adorable getting all "toasty" on your patio, glad you both had weather you like so that Goro got his hydration too! Those mosquitoes are no fun at all especially when they seem to like certain people, that's a bummer. Have a wonderful week, dear friends!

  13. We've got the hots too. Fortunately, we're inside cats and can stay safe from the mosquitos.

  14. Maybe my human should get some of those heartworm tablets for me - I go outside on my leash. We aren't in a big heartworm area, but they are getting to be all over.

  15. Lovely to see you enjoying your outside space. Hope you get lots of nice weather.

  16. Great post and good point. My cats never go outside so only the dogs are on preventative per my vets recommendation but if we ever ever screen our porch everyone will take it

  31. We love your cation boys! It really is super wonderful and has everything to keep you happy and well! Our Mama is an, "anything that wants to bite and leave a dent in her" magnet! She has been getting bitten by some little flying spider-like things when she waters the garden . . .bitten on her face!! ACK!! Tell your Mama to stay away from the mosquitos or else she might need to take your heartworm medication... ;p Also maybe she could try Gold Bond cream to help with the itching!

OMG!!! Mosquito bites are NO fun and your middle name also, isn't it☆ But thank you SO much for your use of the word "pixelated”. Hehe, I learned an important new word p;-) Yes, please take care not to have too many bites; Goro-chan's worrying face for you is cute♪ It seems your boys are having enjoyable time in your fancy deck♡♡♡ Our rainy season is over here and the scorching sunshine is outside(^^;)
Hope you two and your boys can survive the harsh summer, Tamago-san.

  44. You guys have the best kitty deck EVER. We're glad you're enjoying the summer, hard to believe it's almost August already. It's a bit too hot here for our comfort, but we don't want to hurry winter either. LOL.

Thanks for stopping by; other that an abundance of mosquitoes (which we also have this year), we hope all is well with you!

    Purrs and peace.
