Prickly Paw

Last month, we received a package from

Inside were local delights from Arizona
(bread mix & jelly) and a pretty ornament!

Goro & Niko were all over, too.

Goro, wait!

Adorable square dog card! Our hearts broke
when sweet dog Watson crossed Rainbow Bridge
in September - but he is always in our hearts.

I baked pecan bread.
Put prickly pear cactus jelly on top.

Prickly pear is fruity & very sweet.
I love this dessert from desert!

No, no, Goro. It's all mommy's.

Sorry, Goro. Here, let me give you
 a nice belly rub...

Goro's prickly paw is furry & bittersweet♥

We enjoyed the gift very much.
Kisses to Gayle, thehamish & angel Watson!

How sweet to post this. When I saw the the first photo I thought wow someone had the same tape as me ! ! ! Then I took a better look. LOL !
I had so much fun finding you some Arizona treats. The pecans are from the Green Valley Pecan Farm.
I sent the same gift to my family in Japan, I hope they like it too.
Next time I will remember something for Goro and Nico.
And thank you again for the Totoro's !

  6. What a pawsome gift! Though Goro, we think a belly rub would be better than prickly pear. ;)

  7. Dearest Tamago,
Oh, how inquisitive our kitties always are! They are the first that want to see what's inside a box...
Yeah, prickly paw we know too.
Lovely gift and how delicious your pecan bread looks!
This week was not a happy week as we took 3 of the 4 siblings to the Vet for the rabies shot of 3-years.
Bandido and Spunky in their wicker pet baskets, oh how Bandido cried - terrible. All the way in the car and it's only 5 minutes. His sister gave up sooner.
Next day tiny sister Tiggy-Tiger got to go, she was easy. But brother Spooky we don't dare to catch and push inside the wicker basket. For weeks I tried to have it open in the office, with treats inside but he already knows. But he would probably use his prickly paw on us when we would catch him.
Pieter wanted to cuddle with Spunky, after she came back and ate supper. She was on the retainer wall and when Pieter scooped her up, she lashed out to him. His lip and mouth corner bleeding from prickly paw and she usually is the sweetest girl!
Hate to do this to them... and I'm only worried about Spook. He once got injured above his eye and my guess is that it was a human who inflicted that onto him. So we don't want to cause any further trauma. Let's hope he stays healthy!
    Hugs to you,
    Mariette

  11. I love the way our kitties hold our hands ... wrapping their little paws around our hand and hanging on tight .. Minette sometimes uses her claws to be sure I don't go away :) Merlin just lays there and holds my hand and purrs.
