Happy Holidays

Time flies. I can not believe
Christmas is here already!

I ordered Christmas snack for Goro & Niko
online. Shopping went like this:

Price - OK. Add one item...

Oh, come on!
(Never underestimate the value of penny!)

So I added a small item for us humans.

I consider this as Christmas gift from kids.
Thank you, Goro & Niko :-)

But of course, Goro & Niko - they
are the true gift for us.

Time flies. We treasure every second
we get to spend together!

We wish you & your loved ones
a very happy holiday season!

Floofy Face

I adore Niko's big, round face.

It's mostly floff as you may have guessed.
Let me show you...

Niko without face floof :-)

But of course, it floofs right back♥

It's getting cold outside.
Floff up and stay warm, everyone!

Walking Bed

Goro & Niko's cat shaped Cat Bed

He came to live with us many years ago.

Niko was bit scared of him at first, but
they eventually became good friends.

Currently, Cat Bed resides in Cat's Room,
often hanging out with Goro & Niko.

One afternoon.

I came home from work and the Cat Bed
greeted me at the entrance of Cat's Room.

Well...it's WEIRD. He is normally
sitting on the far side of the bed.

I asked Goro & Niko's Dad, "Did you
move Cat Bed?" Answer was "No. Why?"

Um, Mr. Cat Bed... Did you walk?

OK, although it may sound fun, I do
NOT want him to roam around in the house!

Chilling image in my head

Niko, please make sure to
keep him in place.

P.S. I was really perplexed by this!

Only logical explanation would be that
Goro or Niko "walked" Cat Bed.

They somehow moved Cat Bed.
Kids can be quite strong!

Health Check

For the latest semi-annual physical exam,
we took Goro & Niko together.

First, Goro. As usual, he got burritoed.
(He is on Vet's "Naughty" list.)

Then Niko. His exam went smoothly.
(He is on a "Good Cat" list.)

Vet couldn't collect Goro's urine sample as
his bladder was empty. I was ordered
to get sample at home. Oh my gosh, how?

I was given Nosorb but it didn't work.

Eventually, I managed
to catch a sample in the air!

As for Niko, Vet detected irregular heartbeat.
Later he was taken to cardiologist.

Fortunately, his heart is fine! Arrhythmia is
mild and infrequent, maybe caused by stress.

There have been minor health concerns here
and there, but I'm grateful that kids
are eating well and healthy in general.

We wish you all a happy new week!

Niko's 8th Birthday

Niko's tail tends to curl up
when he is happy.

Matatabi (Silvervine) certainly
makes him happy.

And Valerian.
Ah, the stinky & blissful treat.

Yes, it smells real BAD but Niko loves
this Valerian BonBon toy from Etsy shop.

One day, I got a bag of Valerian root from a
different shop. Kids must love it!

Here is Niko.
Come on. Go roll!

Well, it failed big time.

Clearly, not every Valerian is blissful.
(But equally stinky!)

That's fine. Just another failed toy
...among many others :-)

One afternoon. I found
Niko napping in his favorite spot.

I think he was having a good dream :-)

On October 25th, Niko turns 8 years old.

Darling Niko, you bring us happiness each
day & every day, and we try our best to do the
same for you. Happy birthday, sweetheart!

Pampered

As mentioned in this blog several times,
Goro always brings toys to his Dad.

Yes, they are gift for his Dad...because
Goro is such a Daddy's boy :-)

So when his Dad was going out of town, Goro
was determined to pack himself in the luggage.

Sadly, his attempt failed.

Goro, nooooo!

Boys, your Dad will be back soon.
Three of us will have fun, OK?

I was actually bit worried about Goro.
He might get depressed without his Dad.

So I made sure to keep him company in Living
Room (=Goro & Dad's usual hang out place).

Also, cooked extra snacks for the boys.

And got a new toy :-)

Then...

Something wonderful happened.

Goro's toys began to gather around bed,
which is my usual hang out spot.

Yes, Goro is bringing gift to ME!

I reported it to his Dad.
(Maybe he will get jealous!)

No, he seems amused.

Flirting continued...

Oh, my. Oh, my.
I felt so PAMPERED!

*

But of course, all the toys returned to
his Dad once he was home.

Goro, did all the flirting mean nothing to you?
