Good Water Dish

One of Goro & Niko's water dishes
(Photo from long time ago)

Goro loves to bathe his toys

When it broke in 2012,
I got the same type of new dish.

Well, I ended up getting two, as the first
one I ordered was much smaller than I thought.
(This happens when you shop online.)

I like this type of water dish for 3 main reasons;

1. It comes with filter

2. Water bottle gives weight to the dish
(If dish is light, Goro bats it around and
spills water everywhere)

3. Water stays still
(Niko doesn't drink flowing water)

Well, water does flow when dispensed from
bottle into the dish, making bubbles...

Niko battling against bubbling water :-)

This water dish has become quite old.
So recently, I decided to get a new one.

The dish I ordered turned out to be
much larger than I thought.

  1. That is so funny that he likes to give his toys a bath! I have heard that cats will drink more if the water is moving, like a fountain

  2. One positive thing about your new dish on steroids is that more of Goro's toys can fit in it for their bath.

  3. I love the photos were you have help with ordering.
The Square Ones have decided they only like the filtered water from the refrigerator. But outside they will drink the water off the brick patio. That is just so wrong !

  4. Hilarious Niko and Goro! We had a sisfur Shady who used to wash her toys in the water dish too. Maybe Goro, you is part raccoon?

We thinks you is furry smart to battle the bubbles Niko. They might just try to get away.

  10. Aren't cats funny with their drinking habits.
Rupert will only drink running water in the bathroom sink and will sit patiently waiting until someone walks by.
Willow likes the bowl in the lounge.
I never see Polly drinking, so she must doo it outside somewhere.
Rowan likes to drink out of the full watering can in the garden and Princess isn't fussy.
    Oh, how we love them...

  17. Hahaha. Oh dear. Mommy can't stop laughing. Hahahaha! You guys are so funny.

Mommy can't get us bubbling water dishes because Tutu will splash all the water out of the bowl. ;)

  18. Dearest Tamago,
Love this one you show! Looked it up at Amazon.com and they have it in white as well in half and in one gallon sizes. We use in the garage a cat fountain but often it does not function. Upstairs we use two heavy bowls as yes, they will bat it and turn it over at times... Cats are naughty!
Lovely photos and I guess they KNOW exactly what we are doing for them and with them. Cats have a mind and a soul!
    Hugs,
    Mariette

  19. Now that was one funny post. Too big, too small, too bubbly, Yikes. How about a big bucket that they can't knock around. You two boys are the best. Take care.

  20. I like these water bowls, in all three sizes! Once we switched from kibble to canned food, both cats just ignore the water bowls we have around the house. Maybe one like yours will entice my kitties to drink more.

  26. Oh, I never thought Niko-chan doesn't drink from flowing water; their drinking habits is different, isn't it♬♬♬ I LOVED to read the way Niko-chan said 'Is this your Zen fountain?'(*^_^*) You ARE a thoughtful Mom, Tamago-san♡♡♡
I had a really bad experience buying a bag though Internet many years ago, since then I've never bought anything through PC p;)

    山口でも気温が35度を超える猛暑で、日中は外に長い時間いれません(^^;)
    色々な事故や事件が起きていますが、女子高生のニュースは海外でも報道されたようですね、私にもとてもショックでした。。。

Take Care and Be Careful for the heat.
Wishing you two and your boys a Wonderful week ahead.

Sending you lots of love and hugs to my dear Japanese friend in America, xoxo Miyako*

  28. We couldn't help but laugh at your results from shopping online. Better larger than smaller though. Love the pictures. Hugs and nose kisses

  29. That's so funny. We had a cat mystery in our house when I kept finding soggy wet cat toys. I couldn't figure out who was dunking them. I actually wrote a post about it that I called CSI: My Kitchen.

Thanks for stopping by our blog!

  36. Those are some fancy dishes! That's always the problem buying things on-line. You're not exactly sure what the size is! But it looks like the kitties enjoy their fresh water. Banjo has a fancy water fountain too. Only the BEST for our kitties huh? LOL!
