Unidentified Furry Object

I found this mysterious object
on a peaceful Sunday afternoon.

Please take a look at the picture below.

You can see a small innocent fur ball toy.

Then please look at this picture taken 30 minutes later.

It appears that the fur ball grew bigger in 30 minutes.
I bought this fur ball toy for myself but its manual
did not say anything about ball growing bigger.

Unfortunately, it disappeared while I was
calling the toymaker. The customer service
personnel said it should not change size.
So it remains a mystery what this fur ball actually was.

Laundry Basket

Goro is in a laundry basket.

Goro, they are dirty clothes.

Now I have to wash your coat, too.

Did you say something?

Don't worry. I was just kidding, Goro :-)
These clothes are just as clean as you.

...But not as silky and shiny as your coat,
which is too bright in the eyes of your doting mother.

Bon

It is Bon in Japan, now.

It is the special night when Japanese
people go out and eat boiled octopus.

....No, Goro.
It sounds fun, but it does not mean that.

Bon (or Obon) is a Japanese traditional event to
commemorate one's ancestors. It is generally
celebrated in mid-August although it varies from
region to region, and it is the period of praying
for the repose of the departed spirits.

Back when I was living in Japan,
I had three beautiful girls.

Many years have passed since they went to
heaven, but I still miss them so much and yearn
after the happy days when we were together.

I wish and like to believe that they
are at peace and happy in heaven.

Bonus

Niko likes to sleep
under the bed.
So I placed a cat bed there.

It was ignored for a while.
But I found him in the bed one day.

Hi, Niko.
You are so cute in a kitty bed.

Oh, so you are working now?

Well, you are doing a very good job.
I think you deserve a bonus.

Uh-huh.
Do you want it in cash, by check,
or via direct deposit into your bank account?

. . . . . . . . . . .

. . . . . .Or how about
grilled salmon for dinner?
