Christmas 2012

Oh, my, Christmas has come and gone
in a blink of an eye!

Still we had a good time together.
Here are random scenes around Christmas...

Decorating for Christmas

Wrapping up presents

Of course Goro was all over.

We cooked tuna for Christmas dinner.

Goro and Niko were very cute
waiting for dinner together :-)

When opening the present, Goro was more
interested in the wrapping paper. (Typical, isn't it?)

Come on, Goro. Let's play with your new toy.

*I got gift idea from a post in Clooney's Num-Num Fund.
Thank you, Mr. Clooney's tunnel! You are the best!

Niko was overwhelmed by all the noise and activities.
He scares easily.

Later I made a bird out of wrapping paper.

Niko got a brave spirit and fought the bird.
(It's a Christmas miracle!)

Before we wrap up this year's last post, we'd like to say
big THANK YOU to wonderful friends from
The Furries of Whisppy and Fraidy Cats! for the stars!!
Please catch the shooting stars that we sent back to you!

Wishing you all a very happy new year!!

Last Christmas

Last Christmas I gave you my heart

But the very next day you gave it away

This year, to save me from tears
I'll give it to someone special

Once bitten and twice shy

I keep my distance but you still catch my eye

Tell me baby, do you recognize me?

Well it's been a year
It doesn't surprise me

"Happy Christmas"

I wrapped it up and sent it
With a note saying "I love you" I meant it

Now I know what a fool I've been

But if you kissed me now
I know you'd fool me again

Last Christmas I gave you my heart
But the very next day you gave it away
This year, to save me from tears
I'll give it to someone special

"Special"

♫ ♫
(Song by talented Wham!)

Well, OK, the truth is...

Unlike the song, no matter what,
he is always, always special to me...  :-)

Merry Christmas!

Award & Letter to Santa

We are very excited that our dear friends gave us a star!

THANK YOU so much to
our sweet friend Katie from Katie Isabella,
our new friends Sherlock, Ash & Traveler from
Feline Purr-spective, and our very first friend
Meowmeowmans from Animal Shelter Volunteer Life!!
We are sending stars back to you.
Please catch it when you see the shooting star :-)

Sherlock, Ash & Traveler also gave us this sweet award!

What colorful and pretty cupcakes!
Purrfect for holiday season, aren't they?

Speaking of holiday season - Christmas is coming soon!

Goro. Niko. Let's write a letter to Santa.
You can ask him to bring present for you.

Letter from Goro:
Very clear but lip print may be a bit inappropriate.

Letter from Niko:
Very polite but too distracted by his appetite.

I'm sure he will :-)

Tunnel Project

Tunnel Project

Phase 1 - Get supply

You'll see, Goro.

Phase 2 - Build interface

Phase 3 - Install

And here it is - tunnel to Goro & Niko's enclosure

Phase 4 - Let them use it

You push the door to go outside, Goro.

Adventurous Goro started going out
through the kitty door & tunnel soon.

But still needs assistance to come back inside.

As expected, cautious Niko is hesitant to use the tunnel.

Phase 5 - Convince Niko that it's not scary

Niko stuck out his head through the door, which
is the most progress he has made so far.
It's okay - we use regular door until he feels comfortable.

Tunnel project will be complete
once both Goro & Niko enjoy using it.

After that...we just enjoy ourselves :-)

Are you okay, Niko?

***

Actually, we have been out for Goro's allergy shot recently.

While back, I posted about Goro losing some fur...

Fortunately, his beautiful fur grew back.

Although he never seems to feel itchy, Goro shows several
allergy symptoms from time to time. When we took him to
specialist before, antihistamine was recommended. This time,
after consulting doctor, we decided to start immunotherapy.

I hope we made a right decision for him.

I'd like to mention that his Dad is allergic to many things including
pollen, dust mites, cats, and dogs. After we adopted Goro
and Niko, he started taking allergy shot in order to be with them.

You are not allergic to cat, Goro.

Allergy shot has been working for Dad.
I hope it will work for Goro, too.
