Nice Weekend

We had a nice weekend!

* Deck time *

Goro enjoyed smell of spring.

Niko was really in good mood.
Do you see his tummy making ♥ shape?

I had fruit salad for lunch.
Yum yum.

* Snack time *

Niko taking over Goro's plate.
(Very usual scene around here.)

Don't worry, Goro got another snack later!

* Nap time *

Niko napped in his cat-shaped cat bed.

Goro & I took a nap together.

I slept total of approx. 15 hours per day.
Yep, it was a very nice weekend!

Have a happy new week :-)

End of Summer

Summer is ending!

One thing I will NOT miss about
summer... It's mosquitoes.

I took many precautions, but some mosquitoes
still got me. One bit on my breast region!

No.. Pervy mosquito flew into my shirt.

Anyway, one thing I WILL miss about
summer... It's lush green trees.

Goro. Will you miss green, too?

I think boys are happy
as long as critters are around :-)

Goro's lush gray fur.
(Available throughout the year!)

Adorable Niko

Now we are looking forward to autumn
and beautiful colors it will bring.

Bird House

One afternoon, Goro & I went out on the
deck and found something rather unusual.

There were pine needles, twigs,
etc. scattered on the floor.

And we found this!

Well, birds picked a convenient location.
Right in front of the restaurant.

However, it couldn't be worse because...

It's right inside the catio!
(What are they thinking?)

No, no, Goro. Let's go inside.
You can't play with it.

That's a bird nest.
Mama bird is going to lay eggs there.

Not a good idea, Goro.

I had to remove the nest before birds
moved in. Removing active nest is unsafe
for babies (plus I've learned it's illegal!)

We felt bad so we got this bird house.

Then set it near where
the nest was being built.

And a few days later...

Potential resident!

Maybe some day, we'll see bird babies
coming out of the house.

I sure look forward to meeting them :-)

Not "eating." Goro. I said "meeting."

***

We are new to bird housing. After reading more
about it, I learned it wasn't really a good location.
(Near door, not in shade, etc.) We may move it to
somewhere else if the house doesn't "sell." Either
way, I hope it gives bird family a good home :-)

Mysterious Critter

It's still chilly in the morning,
but spring is definitely here.

Birds are back.

Squirrels are back.

Goro is in hunting mode.

The other night, Goro & Niko
were enjoying nightly window TV.

Then I noticed something...

Niko's got a bottle brush tail!

It was too dark for me to see anything.

What's out there, Goro? I asked.

But his poker tail won't tell...

Anyway, mysterious critter is back, too.
Spring is definitely here :-)

We wish everyone a fun spring time!

Treat & Treat

Hello, everyone!
I hope you had a fun Halloween!

We didn't do anything special.
Just enjoyed a quiet day...

Well, we had one visitor :-)

We don't do costume, but I have
a bad habit of putting toys (light & soft)
on kids (only if they let me.)

Goro

This photo was taken in July this year.

Recently, I found this photo from 2010.
I do need to grow up...

We didn't do trick-or-treat, either.
But enjoyed treat-and-treat :-)

It was a nice quiet Halloween.

And look!! We were one of the lucky winners

Super cute Halloween cards starring famous
Maxwell & Faraday of A Tonk's Tail... err, Tale!

Thank you, Connie & Lisa, we LOVE the cards!

Happy Autumn

Autumn is upon us!

Goro enjoys cool breeze
out on the deck.

Niko loves whiff from open window.

I made autumn-colored snack for Goro & Niko.

Fish balls made with fresh tuna & salmon♥

As usual, Goro demanded sample...er,
volunteered to do the taste test.

Baked fresh fish balls - served on
kids' maple leaf plates :-)

Happy autumn!
