was hurt. We learned to cat-proof cords.

With no tree lights since then,
we had dark Christmas every year.
Well, I exaggerated a little bit.
Of course there were some lights.
But this year is different. My family-in-law
got this super cute tree as a present for us.
We put it on the top of entertainment center,
where Goro can't reach.
Then his Dad added lights around this
entertainment center behind shoji screen.
We call it
Goro-proofed Christmas tower :-)
We love how adventurous and curious Goro
is. We just want him and Niko to be safe.

ReplyDeleteYou came up with a very creative and very pretty solution! The lights behind the screen are so pretty, as is the little tree.
In the past, Derry has been known to try to chew at the tree light cord, but our human covered it in tin foil. That worked, though it looks ugly.

ReplyDeleteOh how cute that cat-tree is for the Christmas season and you managed to place it really in a safe spot. For that very reason, with our 6 kids,we have NO Christmas tree and seldom burn candles, only for making photos... A household has to adapt when furry kids are living inside as well!

Oh my gosh, this is so funny! You have given me a good laugh, I love the way you write. I like the 2009 picture. Your screen of lights is beautiful, and so is your ceramic tree. We did not put our tree up this year because of the cats. Instead, we have decorated more with snowmen and bells. I wish for all of you a blessed Christmas

Banjo chewed through the wire on our cordless phone. Luckily he wasn't hurt. But we had to buy a new phone and hide the wire behind a stand. Oh those kitties...why do they chew cords? Looks like your boys will be nice and safe with that cute little tree!! Notice I said 'boys' and not just Goro...LOL!!! ;)

hahahahaha this is so funny and also so sad. Daughter loves Christmas Trees but can't have one because of the cat. I Love the Lights behind the screen. So he doesn't scratch the screen ? I gave daughter a screen with paper and her cat destroyed it.

ReplyDeleteWe laughed out loud at that Dark Christmas photo. Goro, there is no need to feel bad - Sophie is our cord chewer. Mom's laptop charger cord has electrical tape all over it to patch up all of the holes Sophie has put in it.
