Thank You

Thank you so much for your kind words
and sympathies at loss of our Kit.
Your support really meant a world to us.

Kit's ashes
He looks smiling in this picture

Goro was attached to me during the
1st weekend of Kit's passing,

Niko's concerned eyes always followed me.

Thank you, boys. I'm better now.

To show appreciation,
I made a new snack for them.

Boil Goro & Niko's bonito flakes in a pot

Strain out the flakes

Freeze the broth & serve!

What a great summer treat.
Here you go, Goro.

Well, that failed spectacularly.....

***

Along with ashes, we received lock of Kit's fur
(which was unexpected and made me cry..)

We decided to keep his fur in a frame.

He was a truly precious kitten.

  14. Even though his time with you was short, Kit knew what it was to be loved. That is what matters, and we know you will see him again some day. We are glad he is there with you, and always in your hearts. Hugs, purrs and prayers.

  15. Aww:-( My heart is broken for him. I am so sorry for your loss. Thank you for always doing as much as you could to make him feel comfortable and loved. I am sure he appreciated it. When Nico and Renato were euthanized, I requested some of there fur and whiskers along with they're cremated remains, it really helped a lot. But what really helped me was having a necklace with Nico's ashes in it. Mine is made of ice blue glass and a sterling silver chain. I got it from Clearlyloved on Etsy. Look them up, or here is the link if you're interested; https://www.etsy.com/shop/ClearlyLoved?ref=search_shop_redirect

  16. I just picked up Watson's ashes today.
They gave me a paw print of Watson and I was so surprised and touched that I started to cry. When you leave the pet cemetery with the ashes she let us have some quiet time and ring a bell outside and take a small remembrance rock.

    cheers, parsnip

  29. Awww.... we are glad that Kit is back home. And how sweet and thoughtful that they gave you a lock of his fur. I remember when I had to help my childhood cat cross the Rainbow Bridge when I was in high school... a few days after she crossed, I got a sympathy card in the mail from the vet that had her pawprint stamped inside. It made me cry, but it is something that I treasure to this day. I hope that having Kit home and having such a special thing to remember him by will bring comfort.

  33. Dearest Tamago,
    What a sweet, sweet post!
Yes, our fur babies do sense when we grief and they know the best way of comforting us! They for sure have a soul and often a very beautiful one, just like Kit.
He would have been such a gorgeous looking kitten with a happy face. A sweet kitten, that did not have a chance at life due to some ignorant people. You came into his life already too late for him but at least he has sensed the true love of feeling protected, sheltered and deeply loved.
The pluck of his fur is such a sweet gesture; love the idea very much!
Sending you both a big hug,
    Mariette
