What, Goro?
Oh, don't worry. It's Niko's kneading time.
As much as Niko loves making biscuits,
he also enjoys having milk with it.
When he kneads his blanket, he sometimes chews on it,
too, just as if he were nursing. I read this is a comfort
behavior that he remembers from when he was a baby.
behavior that he remembers from when he was a baby.
Niko sometimes wakes me up in the midnight by his
loud purring during biscuit-making and milk-kneading.
Even if I end up not getting enough sleep,
I spend the whole day feeling happy and smiling :-)
that's sweet! it's funny, i never mind being awoken in the night by my kitties, but if a human wakes me, that's not so fun!
ReplyDeleteAwww that is so very cute. What a sweetiepie.
ReplyDeleteI LOVED this sweet story of precious Niko. OH I would love to hear him and see him making biscuits and having his milk. I would smile all day too. xoxoxoxox
ReplyDeleteMy mom wrote that! This was supposed to be MY comment, Mommy!
Niko, I love making biscuits, too. But I've never had milk when I make them. I must be missing something!
ReplyDeleteWally
Binga does this too. And she kneads with her claws full out... which is kind of fun to watch if the blanket is thin and there is a human underneath it.
ReplyDeleteThe Baby does that too! Occasionally she does it standing up and kneads with all four paws--Mommy calls it the "Sucky Dance", MOL!
ReplyDeleteAw, that is so sweet. It makes purrfect sense to want milk with your biscuits, right? :)
ReplyDeleteMilk and biscuits? It must be oreo, OK? That is so sweet of Niko.... purr...meow!
ReplyDeleteAh, that is adorable! Everyone knows biscuits go great with milk!
ReplyDeleteYou look very sweet, only one of our 3 cats kneads, just Baby the girl I wonder why that is
ReplyDeleteHaha ~ oh that Niko is so cute! I don't think being woken up by purring and biscuit making would be so bad. Sometimes I wake up from the sound of Banjo chewing and bitting his toe nails.... yuck!! LOL!
ReplyDeleteHave a happy week kitties!
xo Catherine
Oh Niko you're so sweet. We love doing the same thing. Have a great kitty week!
ReplyDeleteNiko, we sure are glad to meet someone else that does that. Mahoney does that all the time. We thought it was her mother was taken away from her at a very early age. She does love to do it. She doesn't purr when she does it, she just chews and kneads. It does seem to make them very happy.
ReplyDeleteHow sweet is that?!!!!! I've never seen that by a cat before. He looks so satisfied and cozy.
ReplyDeleteGive him a big belly rub from me.
Take care
Alex
I've heard of that happening but that is the first I've actually seen it!
ReplyDeleteI love the sound of happy purring too! What a cutie Niko is.
ReplyDeleteGuido does that too. And at 4AM usually. We should phone each other at that time maybe?
ReplyDeleteHow lovely of you Niko, you can make your Mom sweet feeling♡♡♡ Yes, keep biscuit-making and milk-kneading♬♬♬
ReplyDeleteLove you always, xoxo Miyako*

ReplyDeletehow sweet.. (unless he kneads you skin).. what a dear he is. Love Helen, Darcy and Bingley xxx
ReplyDeleteOh my boy Niko, you take cuteness to a whole new level! We love you buddy.
ReplyDeleteThe kitties who live here like to do that with my people when they are trying to sleep.
ReplyDeleteNubbin wiggles,
Oskar
Dearest Tamago,
ReplyDeleteThis was another great post! You are so artistic in capturing the true cat-mind with this. Oh, this morning Barty did wake me up after only 5 hours of sleep. He was kneading biscuits and not letting go till I was fully awake. They do LOVE us though and I'm like you, sure we sacrifice some sleeping time. But what's more important? Being completely happy and feeling loved or just sleeping...?
Love to you,
Mariette
The Human hadded a kitteh that did that all the time! He used to suck contentedly for hours on the fringe of an area rug! Me, I can be bothered with sucking on something that doesn't give me no milk!!!
ReplyDeleteAwwww! That is so cute! Mitty does it all the time to Mom Julie especially if she's wearing fleece, hehe! Actually, it looks rather odd to me, but don't go by an old mancat codger like me!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Tom
I think it is adorable, my boys do it too and sometimes a little drooling as well. I love to see them so contented!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind blogoversary wishes :-)
I came back to see precious Niko san with his blankie. <3<3<3
ReplyDeleteHi Boys! Just dropping in to say hi....hope life is keeping you busy!
ReplyDeleteHow sweet! Niko looks very happy and content.
ReplyDeletehaha, i guess some pets cannot forget their babyhood habits! Wawa insists on depositing his butt on my lap sometimes, not realising that he is now 15kg instead of half kg.
