Kids! Dinner is ready. Stop fighting!
A peaceful time...
*They do seem to have sides. Most of the time when
they eat, Goro is on the left and Niko is on the right.
Goro always takes over Niko's bowl.
Goro, aren't you eating too much lately?
That's true. It makes sense for active boy like Goro
to eat a lot. (As you can see, he flies all the time.)
However, at his last check-up a couple of month ago,
Vet told Goro not to get heavier.
Weight was "satisfactory" but "heavy side of normal."
Goro, I have to cut back on your snack.
It is not terribly hard. I simply give him less amount.
Also when it comes to snack (= chicken) time...
*Again, Goro is on the left and Niko is on the right.
Niko always takes over Goro's plate :-)
P.S. Thank you for your good wishes for Niko's Vet
visit from my previous post. His blood work showed
a bit worrisome numbers. We will go back to the Vet
for recheck in March. I hope my baby boy is okay.
We are always smacking each other here at meal time! Paws crossed and purrs sent for Niko - I hope he is okay too!
ReplyDeleteDearest Tamago,
ReplyDeleteOh, our Spooky boy (the indoor cat since early December) is also a bit on the heavy of normal. One of the girls, Spicy is way too heavy but she gets the same food as the rest. She has short legs and is very fluffy but as sweet as can be. So what could we do? One of the five siblings, sister of Spooky is always so hyper and on the light side; there are as many differences in cat weight as there are in human weights.
Hope your baby boy will be fine; don't we worry about them like a human child? Which is great, it shows FULL responsibility and so many people are lacking that.
Hugs to you,
Mariette
Goro, you know I feel for you !
ReplyDeleteDoctor got no idea . Leftover is a crime !!!
At least I think you are still lucky ! Only treat has been cut !
And hooray for you are o.k. : )
xoxo
You kitties always make me so happy! You always bring me a smile. :)
ReplyDeleteGoro, you look purrfect to me.
Niko, Banjo and I send you lots of purrs and good thoughts that your numbers are better at your next appointment!
xo Catherine and Banjo
Goro, don't feel bad. The vet told me that I was a little too heavy too and told my mom to feed me a little less. I hate dieting!!
ReplyDeleteWe are purring for Niko and hope he is okay.
Ernie
Sammy and Moosey have to eat in separate rooms, because otherwise they eat each others food. :)
ReplyDeleteWe are purring and praying for Niko's vet appointment, and hope he will be okay.
Hugs, dear friends.
Dearest Tamago-san,
I always appreciate your sweet lovely comment, my young Japanese friend.
Sending you lots of love and hugs from Japan, xoxo Miyako*
Both of them are so so cute!!
ReplyDeleteI just love their photos!!!
Lego often take over Adan's food, and he is really big. So right now they eat separate, it's for Lego's health, hahaha~~
Oh boys, glad to see you! Niko buddy, I thinks I weigh the same as you and have to trim down a bit too...bummer. I will be purring my hardest for your good health and for all to be well with your tests.
ReplyDeleteAmazing Goro!! You are a SuperCat! You FLY!! LOOK at you FLY!! Yay!!! Awww we hope you'll soon be on the other side of normal weight!
ReplyDeleteSweet Niko!! We send you many purrs and hugs! Take care
x
The airborne shot is fabulous. LOL.
ReplyDeleteFingers and paws crossed for Niko's test results in March, we hope all will be just fine.
BTW, we're a bit...plump...these days, though we like to think it's just our winter coats.
All of us have our *spots* when it comes to meal times too!
ReplyDeleteWe love that picture of you flying, Goro! We hope Niko's next vet checkup shows better numbers.
Good wishes to you Niko, the vet can be so scary for moms and pets as well. You dont look to chubby to us but mom says its best to catch these things early.
ReplyDeleteurban hounds
That is some mighty fancy flying Goro! We are sending you lots of purrs Niko and we hope the next Vet visit is much better.
ReplyDeleteI´m laughing! You´re so funny Goro!
ReplyDelete"Heavy of normal" I WISH that was Salem's problem...that gal is FAT! Goro looks just right to me.
ReplyDeletePurrs for Niko's follow up to be good news.
totally love the look on Goro's face..
ReplyDeleteGoro, we don't see how your folks will resist your "what? No!" face, but alas, it is for the best :) we will keep Niko in our purrs for a good follow up vet visit.
ReplyDeletePip, Smidgen, Minnie, Hollie
It's very rare that Tinker and I ever eat at the same time, even tho there are two plates. I'm always eating out of the left dish and he's on the right. We both eat out of Anastasia's dish any old time we feel like it.
ReplyDeleteLove seeing you in flight, Goro! Sweet Niko, we'll keep you in our thoughts and prayers that those vet numbers turn around for you.
Dearest Tamago,
ReplyDeleteSince your comment is a noreply-comment I will paste my reply here:
Mariette VandenMunckhof-Vedder has left a new comment on your post "{How is YOUR Blog's TRUE Presence on the WEB?}":
Dearest Tamago,
The point actually is that many followers do not represent what it 'looks like'. Quality above quantity; as always in life! Comments can at times look almost mechanized; one-size-fits-all. Often my husband and I have laughed at certain comments because it became so obvious that they had not read the contents of my post.
It is always great to be in touch with you; one day we should meet...
Hugs to you,
Mariette

Bah! The Human is trying to cut down a bit on my favorite crunchies! At least there is no pesky brother to steal them.
ReplyDeleteWe will purr and purrayer for Niko to get a good report next time! XOXOXO
Heavy of Normal? Oh sweetie. Didn't you tell that vet that you really do fly? It'll be tough to cut back but just think of how much farther you'll soar when you weigh just a teensy bit less. Purring for Niko's next visit to go well!
ReplyDeleteThat's funny because Harley and I like to whap each other, but when it comes to dinner we can peacefully eat side by side, too!
ReplyDeleteGoro, Oh no, the treats have been cut back. That is not good news. We need to sneak you some.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that Niko's blood work showed some worrisome numbers. He isn't very old, is he?? We sure send purrs that it is all alright.
Niko san, what is wrong dearest little one?
ReplyDeleteThe look on Goro's face when you told him you were cutting back on his snacks was priceless BOL
