I usually make steamed chicken for
Goro & Niko's regular snack.
But I thought I'd try something new.
Using coconut flour, I decided to
bake grain-free cookies.
As usual, Goro helped me in the kitchen.
He inspected everything :-)
Mix ingredients and make balls.
Now let's bake!
And here they are after 30 minutes:
Chick-Chip cookie
& Fresh Baked Fresh Fish cookie
Enjoy, Goro!
(I broke cookie into small pieces so it's easier to eat)
Um, try tasting. It's yum yum.
Goro just picked meat and mostly
ignored the dough part.
Niko, on the other hand, seemed to like it.
Goro hanging around Niko and his snack.
Somehow, he is convinced
that Niko's food tastes better.
Sure enough, as I was cleaning the table
after Niko left...
Goro :-)
Overall, I think it was "so-so snack"
for Goro & Niko.
Though, I sure had fun baking for them :-)
Looks like an interesting snack.
ReplyDeleteNiko seems to like it :)
Purrs Georgia and Julie,
Treasure and JJ
I used to bake for my kitties, too. Salmon was always a favorite ingredient. Some would enjoy them, some not. Always nice to see Goro and Niko. Deb

ReplyDeleteThose look good enough for both us and our Mama to eat! ;) We have never heard of coconut flour. Our Mama can't eat wheat flour (she was diagnosed with celiac'a disease as a child) but she has never heard of coconut flour. It might be something to look into for baking for us and for her too :) Get baking for us Mama!
ReplyDeletethe critters in the cottage xo
P.S. You boys are adorable!
MOMMY thinks those would make a great appetizer for HER! We liked the catnip garnish--you guys have a really classy dining establishment.
ReplyDeleteDearest Tamago,
ReplyDeleteThose rascals; they are so funny and yes, the very same happens here too that one is 'doing the dishes'... Uhm, eating every morsel the other left over!
That sure looked healthy and yummy.
Sending you hugs,
Mariette
Dearest Tamago-san; Oh My, what a wonderful and sweet Mom you are♪ Thinking their food healthy one for them; this time 'bake grain-free cookies' for a change(*^_^*)v How yummy these cookies look♡♡♡ Funny to read it was a 'Meat hunting game' for Goro-chan:-) But it seemed that The Inspector couldn't resist the dough part in the end p:-)
ReplyDelete実は、Sweets が大好きなのにクッキーやパンなど焼いたことがありません、ハハ (料理の方は好きですが) Great Ideaですね; 素敵なママで二人が羨ましいです♫♫♫

ReplyDeleteLOL.. meat hunting game.. lol..
ReplyDeleteInteresting idea! I'm not certain they would be a hit here as none of the cats eat cookies or bread. The meat hunting sounds fun though. :)
ReplyDeleteUmmm, they certainly look good. This is the second post in a row I’ve visited with cookies in it.
ReplyDeleteYou two boys are so lucky to have such a good Mom that such great treats for you. Those look totally Yummy.

What a great idea, there are so many organic and healthy dog treat recipes out there but not as many cat versions. Bootsie is now jealous.
