It's hot, hot, hot.
Sizzling summer is here!
Still, Niko enjoys sunbathing
out on the deck.
Thankfully, we've been having some rain, too.
Goro loves to play with rain water.
(Awning has grommets for rain to escape)
I'm getting mosquito bites constantly.
"Mosquito magnet" is my middle name.
Mosquitoes are feasting on me.
You are safe, Goro & Niko.
protect kids from mosquito-borne disease.
Have a safe & fun summer, everyone!
Goro
Niko
Two fur balls :-)
And here, Goro and Niko, is wet, wet, wet Winter.
ReplyDeleteHi Goro and Niko and Mom! What a lovely outdoor area you have to enjoy. I have only 1 cat that likes to play with water in the sink. The others are afraid! You both look like you are having a wonderful afternoon. Tamago: those mosquito bites are so uncomfortable. Take care. I wish you a very good week. xoxo
ReplyDeleteHi boys, thankfully you have fur to protect you from bites but poor mom! It's 100 degrees and we're loving being on the porch.

ReplyDeleteWhat have they a great outside place !
ReplyDeleteDang, that deck area sure looks wonderful, even with the water MOL! Yes, you gotta watch those mosquito things, they are not very nice.
ReplyDeleteWe are so glad Goro and Niko get to enjoy their porch, and that the heat and mosquitoes don't bother them. :)
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear Mom Tamago is a "Mosquito Magnet." Funny, but meowmeowmans is a magnet for them, too!
What a pawsome porch!
ReplyDeleteWe would love one like that :)
This week we are having rain, byt the sun should return by the weekend !
Enjoy your porch kitties!

Dearest Tamago,
ReplyDeleteOh my, you a mosquito magnet and I have been a yummy chigger magnet on the 4th of July. We went for a joint luncheon (bringing each food) near the river, at a spring well. It was so beautiful outside and I did walk around the well,so did Pieter with a friend. I wore pants that were below the knee and Pieter full length summer jeans. But oh my, next day the ordeal of itching started; I looked horrible with 7 bites on my right upper leg and 4 on my left upper leg, including behind the knee. Pieter had a lot more but his never became that swollen like mine. Nasty thing and finally they are healing up after two weeks of oozing liquid and having to use lots of bandaids. Still not looking good for wearing shorts! Today I wore a safari dress that is below the knee; just perfect for covering up my scabs.
Hope you're not too much suffering from mosquito bites!
Your boys look so cute and after enlarging you artist photos (as I always do click them!) I laughed at the smile of Niko, on his back. Lovely fur balls.
Sending you hugs and a happy week ahead.
Mariette
It's wonderful to see them enjoying the outdoors in a safe environment. I wish all kitties had that. Have a wonderful week. Hugs, Deb
ReplyDeleteGoro and Niko are so lucky to have that wonderful and fun space for themselves. Sorry you get bitten.
ReplyDeleteCheck out my cat blog for archived stories about the abandoned/feral cat colony I manage.

Niko you are so adorable getting all "toasty" on your patio, glad you both had weather you like so that Goro got his hydration too! Those mosquitoes are no fun at all especially when they seem to like certain people, that's a bummer. Have a wonderful week, dear friends!
ReplyDeleteWe've got the hots too. Fortunately, we're inside cats and can stay safe from the mosquitos.
ReplyDeleteMaybe my human should get some of those heartworm tablets for me - I go outside on my leash. We aren't in a big heartworm area, but they are getting to be all over.
ReplyDeleteLovely to see you enjoying your outside space. Hope you get lots of nice weather.
ReplyDeleteGreat post and good point. My cats never go outside so only the dogs are on preventative per my vets recommendation but if we ever ever screen our porch everyone will take it
ReplyDeleteRetro rover
Very nice blog, you are writing nice and curious posts. Keep it up :) I wish you amazing and bright day! Hello from Dublin. :) If you want, come to my blog : In another life (www.photographyismyexistence.blogspot.ie). Patrycjo :)
ReplyDeleteY'all are clearly having a great time out in the toasty roasty outdoors.
ReplyDeleteNiko looks a bit stoned in the first shot... maybe too much catnip!
ReplyDeleteMeus amores vocês estão se divertindo muito, com calor ou chuva, isso é maravilhoso! Nós estamos presos dentro de casa a uma semana por culpa da chuva.

ReplyDeleteYou seem to be enjoying your summer, Boys! Too bad about your Mom getting so many mosquito bites. Our #1 brings stuff from Japan for mosquito bites because she says it is the best!
ReplyDeletePurrs,
The Chans
I'd show you a photo of my ankles, which are covered in mosquito bites too! Thanks for reminding me about the heartworm prevention; it was on my to-do list before Chuck got sick last week, and my list went to heck.
ReplyDeleteThat is such a great looking deck. No wonder you two like it out there even if it is hot. There have been a lot of mosquitoes this year. You all take care.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, well misery loves company...they actually bite me on the bare legs when I'm sitting at the computer...drives me wild. I hate them, lol.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea to have a outdoor space for your boys.
Jen

Your Mom gotta watch that she doesn’t get West Nile Virus. We have that here. It’s good that you have prevention too.
ReplyDeleteLife is good for these cats, obviously.
ReplyDeleteOh your poor mom, all those yucky bites! We is sure you kitties are helping her feel better.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the hots!
Sasha, Sami & Saku
You two are living the life! Love your catio -- we wish we had one!!! Sorry your mom is getting eaten by those mosquitos... they like to eat up our mom too. Good thing you two are protected!!!
ReplyDeleteWe love your cation boys! It really is super wonderful and has everything to keep you happy and well! Our Mama is an, "anything that wants to bite and leave a dent in her" magnet! She has been getting bitten by some little flying spider-like things when she waters the garden . . .bitten on her face!! ACK!! Tell your Mama to stay away from the mosquitos or else she might need to take your heartworm medication... ;p Also maybe she could try Gold Bond cream to help with the itching!
ReplyDeletethe critters in the cottage xo
Luckily, we don't have mosquito problem...maybe on occasion but wow! Looks painful! Your cats are so cool!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great outdoor space ... looks like Goro and Niko are enjoying summer ! :-)
ReplyDeleteOh my, those mosquitos ... I had a lot of bites last year ... :-(
Have a nice week,
Sylvia
oooh yeah, we have them too. Loads of rain = loads of bites! And so we're careful to use heartworm preventive too. We don't recognize that though. What brand do you use?
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect, safe and nice outdoor space for cats!!! :)

Dearest Tamago-san;
ReplyDeleteOMG!!! Mosquito bites are NO fun and your middle name also, isn't it☆ But thank you SO much for your use of the word "pixelated”. Hehe, I learned an important new word p;-) Yes, please take care not to have too many bites; Goro-chan's worrying face for you is cute♪ It seems your boys are having enjoyable time in your fancy deck♡♡♡ Our rainy season is over here and the scorching sunshine is outside(^^;)
Hope you two and your boys can survive the harsh summer, Tamago-san.
Have a great weekend with your cute Two fur balls♬♬♬
Sending Lots of Love and Hugs from Japan to my Dear Japanese friend in America, xoxo Miyako*
Double PS.
It was wet wet wet here yesterday! Mosquitos loves my daughter! Got it all over her when we stay in the village with my Aunt. Thank you for your kind words and support, Tamago! I will stop by now and then.
ReplyDeleteAw, what lovely boys enjoying their summer time :-)
ReplyDeleteYou guys have the best kitty deck EVER. We're glad you're enjoying the summer, hard to believe it's almost August already. It's a bit too hot here for our comfort, but we don't want to hurry winter either. LOL.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by; other that an abundance of mosquitoes (which we also have this year), we hope all is well with you!
Purrs and peace.
Happy Summer- wishing you lots of deck time and no mosquitos. I love Goro's two piece suit!

You sweet handsome boys are just so loved and well taken care of. Love your deck such a nice place to enjoy the summer. Wow, sorry about the mosquito bites, we had a lot of them until about 3 weeks ago. It is so hot and dry now that they have left our yard, we hope they stay away. Enjoy the remainder of the summer sweet friends. Hugs and nose kisses

ReplyDeleteMy cat is gone but those photos remind of her. It was so painful to letting her go and miss her very much. You have very cute cats.
ReplyDeleteSorry I have missed your post !
ReplyDeleteIf I had kitties I would build them a play house just like you did. What fun to have a kitty that doesn't mind the water.
Your photos are wonderful as always.
cheers, parsnip
Oh you both have such a nice place to go outside. Dad is working on that for us so hope by next spring....
