Cat Shelf 6 (Continued)

Hello, this is Goro.

In the last post, Mom shared part of

our latest Cat Shelf project.

She asked me to show you some more.

First of all, carpet is placed on top of all the

shelves. It's to make a non-slip surface.

Now, follow me.

See the curve bed there?

It's installed rather low on the wall.

Do you know why?

It's because Dad wants to pet me 

when he is on the couch.

I know Dad, you are always my # 1.

OK, moving on.

I like lounging here.

Except that Mom always

tries to photograph my belly. 

She is such a pervert.

Let's go down from here.

You see there is this cat ladder.

Mom says I look like a little person

when I'm climbing up.

Here on the top.

Ladder gives another access

to the shelves.

OK, let's move to this tree.

Mom & Dad put carpet on top of the cabinet.

I enjoy napping there.

And here I am - back to where

I was in the 1st picture.

Cat Shelf 6

Recently, we decided to
catify our living room.

Yes, this is our latest
installment of cat shelves.

Cat Shelf Project # 6

Here is my detailed (?) plan.

Result
Well, kind of sort of as planned :-)

Goro declared ownership of
the new wall bed.

Then Niko took over.

Of course, Goro wasn't ready to give over.

...which led to a fierce whapping war.

But later, peace was restored as
more beds & shelves were installed.

We'll share the rest of this project
in the next post :-)

Goro's 6th Birthday

Goro has several favorite spots for napping.

Cat Mansion

Wavy bed

On a couch with his Dad

etc, etc.

But most importantly...

On my legs!

Every weekend, Goro comes to my legs

for afternoon nap.

Goro and happy legs :-)

By the way.

We recently reconfigured Cat Mansion

and moved it to near the window.

Then it became Goro's prime napping spot.

You may have guessed what happened next.

Goro began to take afternoon naps

there, leaving me and my legs all alone.

Goro, come on.

I reserved my legs for you.

Oh, no! I'm so sad :-(

Thank you, Niko.

Would you come take a nap with me?

Sigh.

Niko comes to my bed in the night,

but usually takes daytime naps solo.

After a couple of weeks, though,

Goro came back to me.

My legs are happy again :-)

On May 30, we celebrated Goro's

6th birthday.

Happy birthday, sunshine! We love you!

New Old Bed

We got this cat-shaped cat bed

long time ago.

Goro was all over it for the first 30 seconds.

Niko was a bit scared.

Then, the cat bed was mostly ignored.

But it stayed as a bed for toys.

Recently, though, that changed.

For some reason, Niko started making biscuits

with the cat bed, and within no time...

The old cat bed has become Niko's

new favorite napping spot!

Biscuit making :-)

Of course, when Niko is using the bed,

it becomes new and bright for Goro.

Fortunately for Niko,

Goro lost interest in 30 seconds.
