OK, with their fine sense of smell, it's almost

impossible to sneak food without being noticed.

Hm...maybe this game won't work.

Then later, I saw them checking out the cave.

I gotta hide the snack so they can find it again :-)

Niko in a Basket

Niko loves to nap on clothes.

Here is him on my sweatshirt.

He also likes to nap in my closet.

So I made a clothes bed in closet for him.

One day, I found a basket filled with Niko :-)

Goro's 4th Anniversary

This is sushi, Goro.

No, no, you don't wanna eat it. 

It's got wasabi.

Today, September 22nd, is Goro's 4th Gotcha Day.

We got sashimi for Goro's special day dinner.

And made sushi for humans with leftover fish.

(My understanding is that raw fish should not be

a regular diet but is okay as occasional treat)

Now let's have sashimi!

Four years ago, we got sunshine in our home.

He is bright, funny, and playful.

Matatabi Fish

Put some Matatabi mist on a fish...

Here comes Goro :-)

Niko, gentle boy with a reserved nature,

waits patiently while Goro is playing.

But once Goro is gone...

Niko can go wild.

Or wildly cute :-)

Tea Time

Goro & Niko's catnip

I made a tea with it.

Goro, would you like a cup of tea?

Wait, where are you going?

How about you, Niko?

Since the catnip tea was rejected by
Goro & Niko, I got to enjoy it.

It was not bad!

So this was my tea time.
Relaxing afternoon, with fresh catnip tea.
Some of my favorite sweets.

And a good company :-)

Supervisor Seat

Kitchen counter is a restricted area.

Daddy's boy Goro steps off the counter
when his Dad tells him to.

I, a typical cat's servant, have
difficulty in fur-child discipline department.

So this stool has been a big help.

We call it Goro's "supervisor seat."

Goro can watch kitchen activity from the stool.

This satisfies his curiosity and keeps him 

from jumping on the counter.

Goro also gets snack on the stool.

So Goro is a happy boy.

And a good boy on his supervisor seat.

Well, not always.
