Goro & Niko's enclosure on the deck.
We liked it, but it began to fall apart.
We had to throw it away.
But don't worry. It means one thing...
New Enclosure!
***
We tried to plan better this time.
Look at my professional (?) drawing.
No, no.
***
And here it is - new enclosure.
We also had deck railing/boards replaced.
Do you like your new enclosure, Goro?
Niko, come on.
As expected, Niko didn't come out at first.
But cat grass bed warmed him up :-)
Birds came to check out, too.

ReplyDeleteOH Goro-San and Niko-San You are two lucky loved boys to have a mommy and daddy make you such an awesome enclosure. Did you wish your Daddy a Happy Father's Day? I know you did. May I come over in my tunnel and try it out please? Please please please?
ReplyDeletethat enclosure is totally amazing. we msut never let our cats see this blog for they would surely move out looking at this as they have no enclosure at all and you two have a genuine feline palace

ReplyDeleteWhat a super enclosure! You are lucky. Maybe if we win the lottery, we can get a condo with a catio or something.
ReplyDeleteawesome enclosure! I love it
ReplyDeleteWhat a FAB Catio reno!! We are totally envious that the restaurant patrons can do double duty as entrees as well, given the mesh size of the screen.
ReplyDeleteExcellent planning.
Your new enclosure is AWESOME! We're just a teensy bit jealous. :)
ReplyDeleteOh, you boys are so luck! What a great enclosure...so nice and you even have bird TV right there almost in touching distance. Enjoy!!! Hugs and nose kisses

I LOVE the photo with 'monster - monster'. We have a few that are very scared for new things.
Enjoy your new week.
Hugs,
Mariette

Dearest Tamago,
ReplyDeleteBack here again... What a safe spot those two fur babies have. Ours use the cat door to get into the garden, huge garden and wood garden.
Obviously our Sacha girl did cross the road for whatever reason, or a dog chased her who knows. Guess she got hit by a car. Our neighbor from across the street rang the doorbell at noon as we sat down for a green tea with the mail. Some joyful parcels in the mail but when I got handed a body bag with our Sacha inside I lost it. They thought it was their cat and wanted to bury her but than their cat (a look alike) showed up...). Poor Sacha with 6 years, two-and-a-half month of life and lots of love behind her had to leave us today behind.
Needless to say that today I could not function since... Pieter did bury her and all I could do is stroke her and cry and talk to her. I let all her siblings and other three cats see her. I feel like they need to know that she is dead and no longer will play, sleep and eat with them.
Sad day and who would have known? Strange, for some reason I was very much dreading to go to bed; very, very late I went. Like trying to ward off something. I had a headache yesterday for no explainable reason. Now I know; danger was about to attack. People drive down the hill here so fast and that way they now killed three of our feline girls and one pet duck, a Swedish blue.
Tight hugs to yours,
Mariette
Wow, what a sweet enclosure. Your beans lub you furry much to provide such a safe place with such a great view! We thinks a shark tank would have been a great addition, or at least goldfish, MOL!

How lucky they are to have a wonderful parents and safe spot. Must have been a hard work! Birds are really lovely as well and should sooth your mind watching them♬♬♬
I'm taking off to visit my father today and finally motivated to visit friends...; haven't checked dashboard much. (^^;) So sorry for my belated comment. Have a wonderful rest of the week, my Japanese friend in America, xoxo Miyako*
I wonder if little birdies, you know--like sparrows or something--could fit through that mesh? Hmmmmmm. Snacks!
ReplyDeleteHi Tamago,
ReplyDeletethis was the laugher of the morning. You made my day with "shark tanke and "chicken restaurant". SMILE. Oh my, they are really like kids, arend't thy. So sweet. Thank you for sharing this cute staory. The enclosure is a cats heaven.
Hugs and greetings, Johanna
The last photo, we think, says it all. You look very content and the enclosure looks perfect from the inside looking out, but I wonder if the birds know that you won't be able to reach them? Maybe you can tell them: "Just looking.. :)"
ReplyDeleteGood to see you both, too!
Great job! I'd love to see a step by step process. For my next article for Petfinders I write about making catios an ideal summer project for the family. Email me if you'd like to to guest post.
ReplyDeleteSo happy to catch up with your blogging....your boys seem to have a blast with the new restaurant :)))))))). Have you ever let them break out in the wilderness?
ReplyDeleteWow, what a great new enclosure !
ReplyDeleteI'm sure Niko and Goro are enjoying it !
Have a wonderful weekend,
Sylvia
