Enclosure on Deck

Goro & Niko's enclosure on the deck.

We liked it, but it began to fall apart.
We had to throw it away.

But don't worry. It means one thing...

New Enclosure!

***

We tried to plan better this time.

Look at my professional (?) drawing.

No, no.

***

And here it is - new enclosure.

We also had deck railing/boards replaced.

Goro soon began to explore.

Do you like your new enclosure, Goro?

Niko, come on.

(Enclosure is placed right outside the door)

As expected, Niko didn't come out at first.

But cat grass bed warmed him up :-)

Birds came to check out, too.

  8. What a super enclosure! You are lucky. Maybe if we win the lottery, we can get a condo with a catio or something.

  9. What a FAB Catio reno!! We are totally envious that the restaurant patrons can do double duty as entrees as well, given the mesh size of the screen.
    Excellent planning.

  16. Dearest Tamago,
That is pure cat-luxury! Looks so attractive and a cat's heaven for climbing up and perch on top of the wood to watch the bird restaurant.
I LOVE the photo with 'monster - monster'. We have a few that are very scared for new things.
    Enjoy your new week.

  22. Dearest Tamago,
Back here again... What a safe spot those two fur babies have. Ours use the cat door to get into the garden, huge garden and wood garden.
Obviously our Sacha girl did cross the road for whatever reason, or a dog chased her who knows. Guess she got hit by a car. Our neighbor from across the street rang the doorbell at noon as we sat down for a green tea with the mail. Some joyful parcels in the mail but when I got handed a body bag with our Sacha inside I lost it. They thought it was their cat and wanted to bury her but than their cat (a look alike) showed up...). Poor Sacha with 6 years, two-and-a-half month of life and lots of love behind her had to leave us today behind.
Needless to say that today I could not function since... Pieter did bury her and all I could do is stroke her and cry and talk to her. I let all her siblings and other three cats see her. I feel like they need to know that she is dead and no longer will play, sleep and eat with them.
Sad day and who would have known? Strange, for some reason I was very much dreading to go to bed; very, very late I went. Like trying to ward off something. I had a headache yesterday for no explainable reason. Now I know; danger was about to attack. People drive down the hill here so fast and that way they now killed three of our feline girls and one pet duck, a Swedish blue.
    Tight hugs to yours,
    Mariette

  35. The last photo, we think, says it all. You look very content and the enclosure looks perfect from the inside looking out, but I wonder if the birds know that you won't be able to reach them? Maybe you can tell them: "Just looking.. :)"

Good to see you both, too!
