Light the Tree

Last year, we had this tower.
Only place where Christmas tree could
sit safely from Goro.

Based on experience, dear.

This year, though, tower was replaced by

a cabinet - with full access to the top.

Now the question:

Where do we put the tree?

We came up with this solution.

It's really to keep YOU safe, Goro :-)

Kotatsu

"Kotatsu" is a heating appliance
widely used in Japan.

We got one for this winter.

First thing first.

We Goro-proofed its electric cord.

Now it's safe to use!

Oh, Goro. Not that we don't trust you.

We KNOW you'd destroy it :-)

By the way, Kotatsu is very popular
among kitties in Japan.

Goro is no exception!

Soon he brought his favorite toys in.

(Goro loves to carry them around.)

Even when heat is not on...

By the way, Niko hasn't used Kotatsu yet.

...Hopefully, he will some day!

As I posted before, Goro opted for

an empty surface.

Meanwhile...

Niko, always pursuing maximum comfort,

has been trying out various spots.

Of course, I'm happy as long as Goro is comfy.

Even in the middle of the floor :-)

However, the other day...

Kids chillaxing together makes me happy.

Cooking Selfie

I made chicken stock for Goro & Niko.

Then froze it in ice cube tray

to use in a small amount.

It added variety to my kitty snack recipe!

I made Coconut Chicken Soup.

Chicken Smoothie.

What should I make next?

I asked our CEO (Chief Eating Officer) Niko.

I decided to make a casserole.

Yes, Goro. Would you like to supervise?

You are such a good kitty!

Niko's 7th Birthday

October 25 is Niko's birthday.

Goro and I decided to throw an early

birthday party for him.

We baked salmon in 3 different flavors.

Goro was helpful as always :-)
