Goro's 5th Anniversary

Last month. We were hanging out
on a deck, when Goro spotted something.

A bee! Oh, no!

It happened too fast. Before I could stop him (I
really feel bad that I couldn't,) Goro whapped it.

We checked his paw. Good, no stinger.

But one nap later, we found...

Gasp --- OK...don't worry. I know what to do.

Go panic!

Kidding, I called vet (in panic mode.) Goro got
treatment and swelling was gone by next day.

He isn't the only one who went to hospital.

I recently had surgery. Missed my boys during
stay at hospital, but it wasn't all bad because...

Goro gave me a video call.

(His Dad helped him, I think!)

After my return from hospital,
Niko made me welcome-home biscuits :-)

Glad I could come home before September 22.
That day, we celebrated Goro's 5th Gotcha Day.

Though there were some scary moments (like
bee sting!) it's been such wonderful 5 years.

My dear son, Goro. You bring us smile and
happiness every single day. We love you and
thank you so much for coming into our life!

Writing Process Blog Tour

Our sweet friend Katie from Katie Isabella
kindly invited us to Writing Process Blog Tour!

There are 3 questions to answer about blogging;

Q1. What am I working on?
A. This post!

Q2. Why do I write what I do?
A. To share the joy of living with fur kids :-)

Q3. How does my writing process work?
A. Usually writing happens during kids' nap time.

When they need attention (or snack,) PC is off!

Thank you, Katie san. This was so much fun!
Now we'd like to invite 2 fantastic writers to the tour;

Trout Talkin Tabbies
Hilarious writing. Guaranteed to laugh :-)

Muddy Boot Dreams
Beautiful, witty, and inspiring!

P.S. Our posts and comments will be spotty for
a while. (OK, already spotty, so spottier.)
But meanwhile, we wish you a wonderful day!

Sour Memory

While back, we received an award from
Ragdoll Mommy, Star, Saphira, Anya, Angel Nico,
& Angel Tadpole from Life with Ragdolls!

We are so excited that they'll have a new family
member, Renato, coming home very soon!

Emily, Delilah, Sampson, Sophie, Sassy & Caster
from Kitty Cat Chronicles also gave us awards!

They are such an inspiration. We've learned a
lot about CH and FIV+ kitties, who are
loved dearly and have a wonderful life there!

Thank you so much for thinking about us!!

*

Many of these awards want us to share facts
about ourselves. Here is one about me (Mom.)

Long time ago, when I was a college student,
I lived in a dorm for a year.

There was a communal refrigerator down the hall.
But you never know if someone is eating your food,
right? So I kept my food on a drawer in my room.

One day at lunch...

I kept milk on drawer for a couple of days.
(What was I thinking?)

It became SOUR and partially SOLID.

So here is the fact about me:
I drank a rotten milk. Ew!

*

Don't worry, kids. I'm very careful with your food.

And that's another fact :-)

Map

When Goro was small, I found a bump
in the middle of his lower tummy.

Is this some kind of tumor? A bad one?
I got worried and asked our vet.

The vet said, "Oh, it's just a nipple."

*

Cats generally have 8 nipples.
In 2 rows; 4 nipples on each side of belly.

Clearly, Goro's nipples thought
it was a free seating.

Well, I'm happy as long as
Goro is happy and healthy :-)

*

In the deep ocean of fur, locating nipples is
very hard. They often go missing.

So I decided to create
a nipple distribution map.

Will update the map as I confirm
each location...

No, no.

It's for tracking purpose only :-)

Good Water Dish

One of Goro & Niko's water dishes
(Photo from long time ago)

Goro loves to bathe his toys

When it broke in 2012,
I got the same type of new dish.

Well, I ended up getting two, as the first
one I ordered was much smaller than I thought.
(This happens when you shop online.)

I like this type of water dish for 3 main reasons;

1. It comes with filter

2. Water bottle gives weight to the dish
(If dish is light, Goro bats it around and
spills water everywhere)

3. Water stays still
(Niko doesn't drink flowing water)

Well, water does flow when dispensed from
bottle into the dish, making bubbles...

Niko battling against bubbling water :-)

This water dish has become quite old.
So recently, I decided to get a new one.

The dish I ordered turned out to be
much larger than I thought.
